How many of you have shed your share of tears over one thing or another? How many of you have found yourself crying but not really understanding why you were crying? I feel like I have been in both of those places in different moments of my life. I would like to share in this blog about crying out to God. I looked up crying in the Websters dictionary and the meaning it gave me was,"to call loudly". There were several others but this is the one that got me to thinking. If we are going to cry about situations and circumstances in our lives let our cry be to the only wise and powerful God who understands us when we cry out to him. In Psalms 34:15 it reads, "The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry". When we cry to God, his ears are open to hear from us. Not when we are whining and complaining about our circumstances or crying in pity because we are under attack but only when we cry to God in our faith out of the place that we are yet trusting him to hear us and help us. In Psalm 34:17 it reads," The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles". Woman of God, just know that when you cry out to the only living God he hears you and he will deliver you. Some of you right now have found yourself in a horrible pit of dis pair and you have been crying out but you felt as if God did not hear you and some of you might feel as if he did not understand. David said in Psalm 40:1-2,"I waited patiently for the Lord; And he inclined to me, And heard my cry.(2)"He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps". When you cry with a purpose then God can hear you and bring you out of the place of darkness and dis pair, set your feet on solid ground and establish your steps. In those times that you have cried and did not know which way to go, the Lord established your steps as you cried out to him. The last scripture that I would like to share with you is from Psalm 61:1-2 and it reads,"Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to you, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I". In this scripture you find that David was asking God to hear his cry and hear his prayer. So David was not just crying but he was praying. He made a vow to the Lord that from the end of the earth that he would cry to him. David knew that when his heart was so overwhelmed and he could no longer take anymore that if he cried to God with a purpose that he would, lead him to the rock that is higher than himself. We must believe just as David that when we cry out to God that he will lead us to the rock that is higher than our circumstances, higher than our needs and higher than the emotions of desperation that we feel in that moment. I say to you today woman of God, there is nothing wrong with crying because God longs to heal you of those things that you cry out to him about, and when you cry out to him in faith, believing that he hears you, he will help you.
God bless you and have a prosperous week. Woman of God regardless of where you are in life right now, " Cry out to God, he is longing to help you".

I really enjoyed this word. Thanks for doing this it will help me and so may other women.
What an awesome word for us. I understand crying out with a purpose and crying out without one. Crying with no purpose leaves you in an empty place without hope. Yet when we cry with purpose God hears because these cries come from the heart and not the head.
