Restoration of Joy

This has been a interesting journey as I have started back writing again and seeking out God to see what he would have me to share each week that will encourage, strengthen and uplift you as he leads you here. I wanted to share with you this week here about, "Restoration of Joy". I was studying the word of God and he took me to the scripture, Psalms 51:12-13, (12)."Restore to me the joy of your salvation, And uphold me by your generous spirit". (13). Then I will teach transgressors your ways, And sinners shall be converted to you". In this this passage we see a psalm of David that he wrote after the Prophet Nathan went to him after he had gone in to Bathsheba. We know that David had sinned before God with Bathsheba in that he had an affair with her but here we see David asking God to restore the Joy of his salvation. He knew that in his sin he had lost the joy of serving the Lord. He had allowed his flesh to cause him to miss God and in that sin he lost his joy. Notice that David knew that without the Joy of the Lord that he could not complete his assignment in which we were all created for and that is to teach transgressors the way of the Lord and to cause sinners to be converted to Jesus. I want to encourage you if you have lost the Joy of your salvation God longs to restore your joy back to you. It is the joy of the Lord that will sustain you even when trials and tribulations come. The joy of the Lord will cause you to minister even when it feels like everything is going so crazy. The joy of the Lord causes you to press forward even in those times that others might even justify you for quitting. See, the Joy of the Lord is what helps you to stay focused on Jesus and the assignment that he has given to you. Fight to keep your joy and when you feel like you have lost it be quick to cry out to the Lord to restore to you the joy of his salvation so that you will be able to teach trangessors and sinners shall be converted through the ministry that God has given to you.
Have a Blest week
